hmm~ mattlex had juz started working.. and i onli gotta spend a few hours at home every nite. Like wat starine said b4.. Its where the real life begins.
Well i couldnt study another year.. at least i noe myself for now. Hmm please pardon mi for not bloggin much too! =p
I have an interesting job now. Im working in prison.. And i gotta see alot of interesting facilities and people. Nope mattlex did not join the 'home' team. (home team = police force, fire fighters, prison guard.) But i am working in this company and this company attached mi to the changi prison department to manage this physical building. Well the prison itself is of the highest technology today's innovation can offer. its located on a new ground and its 8 storey high. The security system is juz too much. From wat i see, its hardly possible to make the great escape. The escapist would juz give up walking thru the countless doors.. Even i give up walking to work everyday. After goin in the front gate, i walk in the front door than thru a metal detector and another 2 small gates. Thats juz into the premises. All the doors and gates are operated by the control centre so i gotta intercom them to open every doors.
My main station is located in the basement. to mi, its a dungeon. I have doors thicker than my bedroom wall. And its a small room with monitors, computers, a telephone and old newspapers.. and nothing else. No radio, no TV, no internet nor my own handphone. And i cant leave the room unless my collegue come down to take over. Not literally, but im kind of like in jail myself. And its dreadful waking up too early for a 2 hr travel down to be lock up in a dungeon. But i do have my cheap thrills though..
Sometimes i get to go up around the prison. To escort the contractors as they move around repairing the broken down facilities. I get to meet inmates but i cant tok to them much. coz its security breach. I was at the prison medical centre the other friday and a prison guard point out to an old man for mi.. "Do u rem the case where a taxi driver purposely knock down a motorist whu tried to enter into his lane..? He bang the motorist and he died. Drove off with a passenger sitting behind. than he said 'serve him rite!' " "That's the guy over there sitting on the bed." In my heart, i was like.. "ooh~" But he dun seem notorious at all. One act of impulse is all it takes to land him or anyone behind bars. Than a collegue of mine told mi that he saw Ah Hao. the malaysian guy whu killed Huang Na. He said he is quite 'ya ya papaya' in prison. He was doing his electrical work and Ah Hao peep over his cell and said something like.. "So Noisy!" or something like dat.. Than the guard told mi that in another ward of the medical centre is where the 'one eye dragon' is staying. He is currently under observation to see his mental mind before the trial.
Well.. as i went around the premises and into the inmates cells. I tried not to look arnd but i juz gotta observe. Its quite saddening for mi to see some of them inside. Not all the inmates are gangster types but there are some whu look innocent enough. there are the more 'feminine' male and transversites too. (i did not see transversite yet) and educated people. Some are quite old in age. And i juz gotta wonder wat did they do that ended them inside. Their ID written outside their cell.. [XXX - sentence in xxxx. 10 years 12 stroke of the cane] [8 years 3 strokes] etc.. And i saw 2 inmates walking up and down the same path many times chatting with each other. To them, its their way of taking a stroll. And another was closed up inside his cell looking out of the small window of his door. When the window was accidentally shut on him. He was shouting away whu closes his window~ as it was the onli entertainment he has. A total freedom was taken away from them in prison. But it realli struck mi that anyone of us could land ourselves in there if we are not careful. No one is exempted from it. You rem urself doing anything that could land u in prison?? hee~ dun give in to it alrite~ = )
But im leaving the place soon. I had tender my resignation and will be leaving in 2 weeks. =D Coz its not realli a place where i wana work. But i would be glad if i can spend my remaining 2 weeks in prison moving around.. especially the maximum security cells. Haven visit there yet.
